TB Testing - Fast, Walk-In, Ready for Work or School Requirements
Skin test (PPD/Mantoux) or blood test (IGRA) available. Walk in today - no appointment needed.
Two Ways to Test for TB
We offer both standard TB testing methods, so you can choose the option that fits your timeline and requirements.
TB Skin Test (PPD / Mantoux)
A small amount of testing solution is injected just under the skin. You'll need to return to the clinic 48-72 hours later so a provider can read the results.
- Two clinic visits required
- Widely accepted for employment and school requirements
- Low cost, well-established method
TB Blood Test (IGRA)
A single blood draw is sent to the lab for analysis. No return visit is needed to read results, and prior BCG vaccination doesn't affect accuracy.
- One visit only
- Results typically available within a few days
- Good option if a follow-up visit isn't convenient
Who Needs TB Testing?
TB testing is commonly required for employment, school enrollment, healthcare credentialing, and other program requirements.

How It Works
Walk In
Stop by during business hours - no appointment necessary. Let us know which test you need or bring your program's requirements.
Get Tested
Choose a skin test (quick injection) or blood test (single draw) - your provider can help you decide which fits your timeline.
Get Results
Skin test: return in 48-72 hours for your reading. Blood test: results are typically ready within a few days - no return visit needed.
Planning Ahead Matters
If you choose the skin test, be sure to schedule your reading appointment 48-72 hours after your injection - results can't be read outside that window. If your deadline is tight, the blood test may be the better option since it only requires one visit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the skin test and blood test?
The skin test (PPD) requires two visits - one for the injection and one 48-72 hours later for the reading. The blood test (IGRA) only requires one visit and isn't affected by prior BCG vaccination.
Does insurance cover TB testing?
Coverage varies by plan and the reason for testing. Our front desk can help verify your coverage, or provide self-pay pricing if needed.
Do I need an appointment?
No - walk-ins are welcome for both testing and skin test readings. You're also welcome to schedule online for a specific time.
How soon will I get results?
Skin test results are read 48-72 hours after your injection. Blood test results are typically available within a few business days.
What happens if my test is positive?
A positive result doesn't necessarily mean active TB disease. Your provider will discuss next steps, which may include a chest X-ray (available on-site) or additional testing.
